freedom: day one

so-no school and no work=equals i'm red as a little lob from lounging poolside. nothing too exciting to report i'm afraid. just the usual day to day. talk a little. eat a lot. etc. etc. macaroni and cheese from whole foods might be the best macaroni and cheese ever. so yea-that's all i seem to be able to say at this point. special thanks to the folks at motorcyclist magazine for finally making it happen. geez. on a heavier note. do y'all ever think of how life is made up of tiny little decisions and a few big ones. these decisions can completely throw your life into a different orbit. it's tough stuff sometimes. i don't like decisions. i wish someone could just make up my mind for me. seems like it would be easier. did i mention i love the live guac from cantina laredo? it's a small slice of heaven. gosh. i talk about food too much. i need a life. sorry this is so darn scattered. obviously-i have a lot on my mind that i don't want to think about. it's much easier to deal with the piddly things. and on that note...i think i'll have a snack.

RESEARCH SEMINAR IS OVER!

that this should be the last stressful evening that i'll have to spend... laying awake worrying about research seminar?(couldn't resist the cory s. shout out on a thursday?oh the memories,oh the memories)i think it is. yippee.

special thanks to haley for being the best and receiving the OUTSTANDING friend of the week award for completing my observation checklist. lord willing-in forty eight hours i will be eating scrumptious food and drinking a bottle of fine, fine wine(petry? sp? inside family joke) celebrating the end of all this. end- as in either research seminar is over and i passed or i didn't pass-in which case-i am booking the first flight out of here and heading straight to coronado. either way-perhaps i'll have time to resume posting normal blogs. until then...you find out who your friends are.

the sun is FINALLY shining in Austin! my blue magic(no one tell gina- but it's the BEST tanning "oil") and sunglasses are both coming out of hiding! praise the Lord!

O brother(dad, or boyfriend), Where art thou?

you know there is not a lot to blog about(actually there is-just nothing i quite know how to put into words) when I talk about chocolate syrup in 2 blogs. but-now that i went to the store and got a refill-i can't get the darn thing open. this is always when it was so helpful to live in a house full of strong boys. i miss those days. hope you all have a most amazing monday.

i'm out of chocolate syrup-therefore i have to go about my day with NO chocolate milk. times are hard. that's all i have to report. sorry folks. better stuff later. research seminar will consume my life this week.

yes yes she is! super exciting! if you could have heard the two of them so excited talking after it happened...you would just smile smile smile! so sweet! congrats to them. and well-that means 3 of my bestest friends are engaged. who will be next?

he wouldn't shoot the snapping turtle...

although i'm sure most of you know, just wanted to clear up that my bubs text was a JOKE! that is just the way in which he likes to bug me. one time-when the gigantic snapping turtle was in the pool-dad sent him in the house to get the shotgun and he took so long(not wanting to hurt an animal) that by the time he came back out-that darn thing had escaped.and it still haunts the property to this day.
