how is she creative? let me count the ways...

So my mom is probably the most creative person I know.

I have inherited a tiny,tiny piece of this part of her DNA-but not enough to suit my fanciest pants.

Anyways,I think being crafty or creative is such a great escape. . It's also soooo fun doing these creative things that you don't even really care what the final outcome is. My other favorite part about them is just picturing the look on the face of the lucky recipient!

So I woke up this morning and mom was making sweets a book for his birthday called 'It Makes Grams Smile When...' and then each page had something he did that made her smile.



She chooses to laminate these HERSELF which is code for she covers each page with packing tape. This might have almost made me commit some kind of vicious act this morning as I was eating my breakfast...really, just think of the sound of that packing tape being plucked off it's little spindle. it's irritating at best. But oh well...it was making her happy so I kept my mouth shut. kind of. (I will congratulate her on the lack of clanging and banging pots and pans together at 6 AM this morning!!)

Then she moved on to making 'life size' Grams and PaPa for his birthday also. This is an old and great tradition. Or rather we got 'long armed paper moms' but these are grandchildren-so she must go above the regular call... I immediately said I wanted one(meaning I wanted her to make one of me to send to sweets!)...don't ask why I have an albino face...long story. And then John came over and said he wanted one so she set to making 4!!

this is mine...you can't tell but she drew me in boots and with (what I thought) were hefty and chunky thighs. Which I have, but must we replicate THOSE to life size also? Just kidding, she wasn't meaning to-I just had to joke her about something.



But speaking of life size...these things are true to size height wise...yea,she's that good!

So I made John pose with me...



then she moved on to working on a trial run wedding cake....I tell you what...she has more energy!!



I'll update tomorrow as she ices and decorates!!

until then,I'm wishing for some of creativity to head my way!

I know you want more from me. More details, more stories, deeper stuff...but really folks. I'm tired. And exhausted. And did I mention my eyes are closing even as I write?

Oh,and it's a big day tomorrow. I get to see E and Baby King. Haven't seen E since May 17, 2008!! what? over a year? that's just not right. So I must get beauty sleep so when that Baby sees me for the first time I'll not have puffy,swollen eyes. Even it NERD is in utero...I can't be having puffy eyes. Rather, I can't fall asleep in the car on the way to meet NERD.

oh people, I'm just exhausted...
